Lessons for October 2024

The October lessons are collectively titled, “Songs of the Old Testament,” and the four lessons are drawn from the books of Psalm and Isaiah. These Scriptures emphasize turning to God in repentance, seeking His deliverance in times of need, praising Him for His faithful salvation, and placing unwavering trust in His power and justice.

The first lesson, “Prayers of Repentance and Confession,” emphasizes sincere repentance, acknowledging human frailty, and seeking God’s mercy and renewal. The second lesson, “A Plea for Deliverance,” presents a plea for deliverance during moments of deep despair but holds onto hope in God’s past faithfulness. Lesson three, “Praise for Deliverance,” shifts to praising God for His ultimate deliverance, offering hope and celebration for the triumph over suffering and death. Lesson four, “Trust in God Alone,” reinforces the necessity of trusting in God and God alone for true refuge and salvation, regardless of life's challenges.
