Our Story

Built on faith, education, innovation, and community.

Founded in 1896 by Rev. Dr. Richard Henry Boyd and formerly known as the National Baptist Publishing Board, R.H. Boyd has served faith leaders, educators, and lifelong learners for five generations. In 2026, we proudly commemorate 130 years of continuous service, scholarship, and cultural stewardship.

R.H. Boyd stands as one of the nation's oldest Black publishing, printing, and media institutions — built on faith, education, innovation, and a lasting commitment to community empowerment. We proudly serve all communities through diverse business lines and collaborative partnerships.

This milestone year is more than a celebration. It is a tribute to the power of ideas, the written word, and generational leadership. Through our 130th Anniversary Campaign, R.H. Boyd will host a curated series of events and experiences in cities across the country, convening educators, churches, business leaders, cultural stewards, and community partners to honor our legacy and help shape the future.
