Lessons for December 2022

Dr. LaDonna Boyd presents the lessons from the Adult Christian Life and Master Teacher books for Unit III of the Fourth Quarter 2022 Curriculum covering the month of December.

Unit III is entitled "God Prepares the Way," and it begins with two lessons on Zechariah from the opening chapters of Luke’s Gospel. Disappointment and doubt cloud Zechariah’s perspective until the promise of a son becomes a reality. This extraordinary experience is the backdrop for the third lesson on December 18. It celebrates the entrance of John the Baptist, God’s chosen voice to prepare the way for the Messiah. The lesson for Dec. 25 on Christmas Day celebrates Advent with Mary’s song as she rejoices in the news that God has chosen the humble.
