The September lessons are collectively titled, “Experiencing Hope,” the five lessons are drawn from the books of Genesis, 1 Kings, 2 Kings, 2 Chronicles, and Exodus. These lessons reveal how faith, prayer, and trust in God’s promises bring guidance, deliverance, and the preservation of spiritual heritage, inspiring joy and gratitude.
The first lesson, “Marking Transitions,” shows Abraham and Lot parting ways peacefully, trusting in God’s guidance. The second lesson, “Our House Is a Very Fine House,” highlights Solomon’s prayer, asking God to hear His people’s prayers and forgive their sins. Lesson three, “Is It Inevitable,” recounts King Hezekiah’s plea to God for deliverance, emphasizing that faith can change the course of events. Lesson four, “Claiming the Treasures of the Past,” describes King Josiah’s revival of the Passover, and honoring past traditions. Lesson five, “Time to Party!” celebrates the Israelites’ victory with songs of praise, led by Moses and Miriam.
