The December lessons are collectively titled “Jesus, the Heir of David.” The five lessons are drawn from the books of Ruth, Luke, and 2 Samuel. Together, these scriptures reveal God's faithful plan of redemption, fulfilled through the lineage of David in Jesus Christ, who brings salvation, restoration, and hope to all who believe.
Lesson one: “A Noble Family Tree.” God's providence in Ruth and Boaz’s story highlights His plan to establish Jesus as the Messiah through a lineage marked by faithfulness and redemption. Lesson two: “A Very Fine House.” God’s covenant with David promises an everlasting kingdom, fulfilled in Jesus Christ, who establishes God’s eternal reign. Lesson three: “Get Ready!” Zechariah’s prophecy reveals God's plan of salvation through the Messiah and calls people to prepare their hearts for His coming. Lesson four: “Breaking News!” The angelic announcement of Jesus' birth invites all people to rejoice in the Good News of God’s salvation through the humble arrival of the Savior. Lesson five: “A Miracle in Jericho.” Jesus’ healing of the blind man in Jericho demonstrates His power, compassion, and the life-changing impact of faith in Him.
