Lessons for August 2025

The August lessons are collectively titled “Christians and Sacrifice,” and the five lessons are drawn from the books of 1 Corinthians, Ephesians, Hebrews, and 1 Peter. As God’s people, we are called to build our lives on Christ, live with integrity and love, honor our bodies and relationships, and grow together as a unified, holy community that reflects God’s peace, purpose, and glory in the world.

Lesson 1: “The One and the Many.” God calls us to build our lives and communities on the foundation of Christ, recognizing that we belong to Him and are united in purpose.

Lesson 2: “How to Be Happy.” True happiness and freedom come from honoring God with our bodies, recognizing we are temples of the Holy Spirit.

Lesson 3: “Finding Peace in a Conflicted World.” Christ breaks down walls of division and brings peace, uniting all people into one household of God. 

Lesson 4: “All We Need Is Love.” Love, hospitality, and doing good should guide our lives as we follow Christ, who strengthens us for every good work.

Lesson 5: “Building from the Ground Up.” As living stones in God’s spiritual house, we are called to grow in faith and shine as witnesses to God’s mercy and light.
