Lessons for August 2024

The August lessons are collectively titled, “Eternal Hope,” and the four ­­lessons are drawn from the books of 1 Thessalonians, 1 John, and Titus. Together, these passages emphasize the importance of faith, righteous living, godly leadership, and good works, all grounded in the transformative power of God’s grace and mercy.­

The first lesson “Hope in Christian Fellowship,” Paul affirms the Thessalonians' faith and sends Timothy to support them during persecution. The second lesson “Children of God,” John urges believers to live righteously, reflecting their identity as God's children. Lesson three “Upright and Godly,” Paul instructs Titus on godly living and leadership, emphasizing grace and righteousness. Lesson four “Grace and Good Works,” Paul reminds believers of God's mercy and urges them to focus on good works and unity.
