Lessons for April 2026

The April lessons are collectively titled “Fulfilling Our Obligations to Family and Community”. The four lessons are drawn from the books of 1 Corinthians, Mark, Romas, Peter, Mark, Deuteronomy, and Matthew. These four lessons explore followers’ resurrection faith, bringing children to Jesus and His affirmation of their position as a model for the kingdom of heaven.

Lesson 1: “Thoughts on Life and Death.” Jesus rose from the dead just as He promised! When the women arrived at the tomb, they discovered the stone rolled away and the tomb empty. Their astonishing news left the disciples moving from confusion to deep conviction. In the resurrection of Jesus, grief was transformed into joy, and hope triumphed over despair.

Lesson 2: “Whose Rules Rule?” Jesus, Paul, and Peter taught believers how to live faithfully under earthly authority. Central to their teaching is the wisdom of Jesus, whose authority is supreme. His wisdom affirms that both earthly and divine authority have their proper place and purpose, each deserving recognition and respect.

Lesson 3: “The Beauty of Dependence.” Jesus holds children in high regard and calls believers to embrace a childlike posture as essential for entering the kingdom of heaven.

Lesson 4: “Love that Shapes Society.” The power of Jesus’ love is unmatched. This lesson examines how love is rooted in the family and extends outward, influencing children, communities, and the broader life of the nation.
